This homemade syrup is not your typical syrup found in stores, as it contains a blend of courgette (zucchini), castor sugar, lemon juice, lemon peel, and boiling water. The process of making this syrup involves soaking the ingredients together to create a green, chunky mixture, which is then strained to produce a filtered liquid that may not look appetizing at first glance, but is described as “blow your mind delicious.”

The use of unique ingredients in homemade syrup adds a creative and innovative twist to traditional cocktail recipes. By incorporating unexpected elements like courgette and kiwi, the syrup brings a refreshing and unexpected flavor profile to cocktails, elevating the drinking experience for those who enjoy experimenting with new flavors. The combination of sweet and tangy flavors from the kiwi, lemon, and sugar, along with the earthy undertones of courgette, creates a complex and intriguing taste that sets this homemade syrup apart from store-bought options.

Furthermore, the process of creating homemade syrup with unique ingredients showcases the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into mixology. By experimenting with different ingredients and flavors, mixologists like CJ can push the boundaries of traditional cocktail-making and create innovative and exciting drinks that captivate the senses. The attention to detail in sourcing and preparing ingredients, as well as the dedication to perfecting the syrup-making process, demonstrates a commitment to quality and excellence in the craft of mixology.

Overall, homemade syrup with unique ingredients offers a glimpse into the creative and inventive world of mixology, where passion, experimentation, and a willingness to think outside the box come together to create exceptional and memorable drinking experiences.
