YardBird Sweet

A Sweet Lemon & Orange Gin Cocktail

The cocktail tasting segment in the podcast adds a lighthearted touch to the conversation, highlighting the personalities of our guests and creating unique cocktails, or aperitifs, based on the guests’ drink of choice. There is also inspiration drawn from the guests life, career, and overall story, making the cocktails concocted on our podcast like none other.

Inspiration Behind the Cocktail

The following cocktail recipe was created by our talented mixologist, Lulu. We asked our podcast guests for episode 010 of the Amperitif Podcast what their drink of choice is, and using a mix of Daphne and Mike’s tastes, created a sweet, lemon and orange gin cocktail. It’s gin based with both sweet and savory notes. While the ingredient of Creme de cacao may lead you to believe this cocktail will be heavy, our guests describe it as very light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm summer day.

SERVING IDEAS

Use a stalk of rosemary and an olive. This will create an added connection to Daphne’s savory taste and it will work nicely with the sweet notes of the cacao liqueur and the citrusy notes of lemon.
